Offshore Installation Strategy for Floating Wind Farms By 2035, the global target is to install 50 GW of floating offshore wind capacity. To scale up effectively, the industry needs innovative and robust offshore installation strategies. In this case study, you and your team will take on the role of a project group tasked with developing a complete installation strategy for a floating wind farm. Your responsibilities will include: - Proposing and evaluating innovative installation methods - Selecting suitable transport and installation assets - Creating a detailed project plan Your goal is to deliver a strategy that is cost-effective, timely, and minimizes risks. You’ll need to demonstrate awareness of: - Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) risks - Weather-related downtime and operational sensitivity As with any real-world project, you’ll face uncertainties and unexpected challenges. Can your team design the most resilient installation strategy and help de-risk the future of floating wind?

  • A Bachelor and/or Master degree Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar;
